I am a huge proponent of self care. I believe that Self Care IS Healthcare! My personal experience with doTERRA Essential Oils and the many benefits it has provided my entire family has prompted me to incorporate them into my Facial Reflexology protocol.
Facial Reflexology is unique in that the primary and immediate effect of the treatment is stress relief and relaxation which goes hand in hand with essential oil usage. Like the essential oils, Facial Reflexology emphasizes self care. The goal of a Reflexologist is to enable the client to go home and continue the treatment protocol daily in conjunction with the use of essential oils.
How I use Essential Oils
Aside from my personal use of essential oils, I also use it as a part of a treatment protocol in Reflexology. Essential oils enhance the effectiveness of the treatment in the way that it provides mood balancing and uplifting which makes the body relax. As an example, I use the doTERRA Grounding Blend to help ground the emotions so that your whole body can feel completely at ease. Relaxing the body begins with the mind, once the essential oil is inhaled aromatically or applied topically, the immediate result is the calming effects. Helping your body relax by focusing on your emotions first is an important first step in any successful reflexology treatment process
Essential Oils with Anti-Aging Benefits
Aging is inevitable but there are many small changes we can make to slow down the progression.
Our skin is the largest and most visible organ of our body. Unfortunately, our skin reflects what is put on and in our bodies. We can hide the body in clothing but no amount of makeup can hide the wrinkles, the under eye bags, the dark circles, the brown spots, etc. doTERRA essential oils and supplement products are a great way to establish a healthy foundation.
Here are some of the doTERRA essential oils I picked out for you:
Frankincense has soothing and beautifying properties that can be used to rejuvenate skin and help reduce the appearance of imperfections when applied topically.
Geranium promotes healthy, glowing skin and hair, while providing a sweet, floral aroma.
Helichrysum is often used to prevent signs of aging and referred to as “The Everlasting Flower” because of its rejuvenating benefits for the skin. Helichrysum is used in anti-aging products for its rejuvenating benefits to the skin. Helichrysum can help reduce the appearance of blemishes, and it promotes a glowing, youthful complexion.
Patchouli is often topically used to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, blemishes, and minor skin imperfections and to promote a smooth, glowing complexion.
Sandalwood is very beneficial to the skin; it can help reduce the appearance of skin imperfection. For an at-home spa experience, fill a large bowl with steaming water, then apply one to two drops of Sandalwood to your face and cover head with a towel. Place your face above the steaming water. Your skin will feel nourished and rejuvenated.
I continue to study the many benefits and uses of essential oils for optimal health and wellness. The best part about studying is that I continue to discover many uses for these oils that have many internal and external therapeutic benefits! Indeed, God has blessed us, through His creation, with all these wonderful gifts from the earth and I intend to share the information with you.
