What Is Clinical Aromatherapy?
Clinical is defined as having to do with examination and treatment of patients. And a commonly accepted definition for aromatherapy is the therapeutic use and application of genuine and authentic plant derived essential oils for healing body, mind, and spirit. It is a treatment that promote physical and emotional wellbeing.
What does an aromatherapist do?
As an aromatherapist, I educate on the various essential oils use that are needed for the treatment required. I apply the essential oil via a type of application such as a layered application of the specified oils for the specific ailment. I teach on the benefits of aromatic, topical and ingestion of the essential. I guide on creating blends for these 3 different uses. I also work with General Practitioners and other alternative and complementary service providers who have patients who choose natural solutions to their acute/chronic issues.
How long does an aromatherapy session last?
The session is usually about 30 minutes and can be incorporated with the facial reflexology session.
How much is an aromatherapy session?
The charge is nominal if incorporated with a facial reflexology session.
